Questions
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers on cost, timing, ownership and what happens after launch.
How much does a website actually cost?
Most small business sites land between $1,000 and $2,500 depending on how many pages you need and whether you need a store or booking system. You get a fixed number in writing before any work starts. We do not bill hourly and we do not do surprise invoices.
How long does it take?
A refresh is usually about two weeks. A full multi-page build is two to four weeks. The main thing that slows a project down is waiting on content and photos, so we tell you exactly what we need up front.
Do I have to pay monthly?
No. The build is a one-time cost. If you would like us to host it, website hosting is $25 a month, and custom email hosting is a separate $25 a month. You are free to host the site anywhere you like and take it with you. Changes after launch are billed as needed, or we can set up a monthly plan that includes a set number of changes each month.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes, and we show you how before we finish. Text, photos, prices, hours, blog posts: all of it is editable without touching code. If you would rather we handle changes, that is what Full Digital Management is for.
What if I already have a website?
Often a refresh is the smarter move. It costs about half of a rebuild and keeps the search ranking you have already built up. Send us the address and we will tell you honestly which one you need.
Why does Canadian hosting matter?
Your data stays under Canadian law, your invoice goes to a Canadian company, and your site loads faster for the people most likely to be looking for you. Most of all, it feels good: you are supporting a local business that supports other local businesses, and the money stays in the community.
What is a business phone system, and do I need one?
It is internet-based phone service with a real business number that rings wherever you are: the shop first, your cell second, voicemail to your email after hours. It usually costs less than a traditional line. If you have ever missed a call because you were on a job, you need one.
Do you only work with businesses nearby?
We are based in Saskatchewan and know the prairie markets well, but the work happens over phone, email and video regardless. Distance has never been the thing that makes or breaks a project.
